| Long BeachI am trying to learn how to use the scanner, and Picasa. I know this isn't perfect, but here it is anyway. It's a picture of my grandmother and my mother at the beach. My mother is 90 now, so this is a pretty old picture. I'm sure it wouldn't qualify for the Swimsuit Contest.

| "Sanity Clause"The following is a conversation between Pogo, Congersman Frog, and PorkyPine.
Pogo....So this sanity clause involves the voter provin' he's sane? What about the candidate? Frog.....In times like these, how would it look for the candidate to go 'round tryin to prove he's not insane? Pogo talking to Porky....Congersman Frog claim his sanity clause won't require the candidate to prove he's sane. Porky.....Jes' the voter? Well, mebbe that's best. Mebbe...the candidate might be more attractive if he could prove himself insane.....to be sane in an insane world would be incongruous. IN CONGRUOUS ASSEMBLED. Therefore we affirm the world is insane an' will elect a nutty leader to cope with it! Thereby givin' him an out! Pogo....An out? Porky....Sure...no matter what he does he can be proven innocent by reason of insanity. Pogo.......Innocent by reason of insanity?

| LunchWhen I was little my mother let me take ballet lessons for a year. After the lessons we would go to a restaurant and I would always order an avocado sandwich and a root beer milkshake......not a root beer float. It was soo good. The sandwich was just sliced avocados, salt, and mayonnaise on white bread. One of my other favorite sandwiches is a tomato sandwich, which is what I had for lunch today. Again, just tomatoes, salt, mayonnaise and bread. Yum!

| ConfessionI have been a Christian since I was 7 years old......that's 63 years now. All that time I have tried to read and study my Bible every day, and I fail so often. Reading is easier than studying and meditating. I do pray often during the day, but to sit down and concentrate for an hour every day, or even 30 minutes? Anyway, here is a tool I found to help me.........it's a daily Bible reading on my computer from the Evangelical Lutheran Church.......ELCA. If you're interested you can look it up on Google and subscribe. It's free. The version they use is the New Revised Standard Version. Now, they do not go through the Bible from start to finish, or even through a book of the Bible from start to finish. I found that when I subscribed to a daily Bible reading that worked that way, I often skipped reading because it was a familiar passage, and I thought "well, I'll just read that later" and then I never did. I don't know how they pick the passages, but I always read them because I think "I wonder what I'll read today?" Also, they usually are short. I'm ashamed to admit this to those of you who always have a daily "Quiet Time." And to those of you who don't read the Bible at all, why don't you give it a try? Now for some fishing pictures..........................................................
