Lazy, rainy day.
I'm off work today. I had a lot of plans for this morning, like regrouting the bathroom floor, installing a doorbell, and cleaning the kitchen... but here I still sit on the computer drinking my coffee. LOL Maybe I'll do those things this weekend.
I've been trying to get all the plans sorted for this year's roadtrips to see RM. I got my plane tickets for NYC/CT. Carol and I are meeting up in NYC a day earlier to do some sight seeing and go to the Tubes concert - I'm really looking forward to that. The last (and only) time I was in New York, I didn't get to do any sight seeing - it was just rush, rush, rush. Anyway, after the day in NY, we'l meet up with everyone at Westbury, then leave after the show to drive up to Mohegan Sun during the night so we avoid that horrible traffic around the city.
The Niagara Falls shows are still a little confusing, plan wise. We're buying the tickets today at noon... it looks like there's 13 in our group, but there will be 25 of us total from the board... plus spouses & friends that are coming too... what a party! I booked a room at the FallsViewCasino... I splurged a little and got a King bed room with a Falls view and a whirlpool tub. LOL I want to be able to just totally relax and enjoy the weekend... I'll also be frequenting the spa for a lovely massage or two.
The confusion for this trip lies in the Jim Thorpe PA concert... I bought a ticket for that show back before any plans had been made. Now I'm trying to fit that one into the equation and I don't know where is best to fly into so that I don't have to drive that far to get there... I'm afraid of getting stuck in trafic and missing the show. Ugh! I also still need to map out the drive from Jim Thorpe to Niagara Falls... I'll also probably want to fly out of a different airport than I'm flying into, probably Buffalo. See why I'm confused? lol Once I get that straightened out and book the flights, I'l be able to relax - I/m stressed now because I have hotel rooms and concert tickets, but no way to get there.
The end of July brings Richard to my neck of the woods, which is awesome! The show in KY is only 3 hours from me and the show in Nashville is also 3 hours away. Yay! No plane tickets! The most convenient show he ever played was a few years ago when he did a radio station gig in Bristol... that was only 30 minutes from my mom's house - it was awesome!

On top of these Richard trips, I'm also trying to figure out where I'm going for my real vacation, ie. somewhere beachy. I'm thinking about either Isle of Palms or Virginia Beach... I would love to go back to Aruba, but there's no way I can afford that because of these Richard trips.... maybe next year.
Well, I really should do something productive... I've got two more hours until tickets go on sale, then I need to head up to my mom's house. We're going to make a huge batch of Valentine's cookies for us both to take to work and share tomorrow. After we're done, we'll probably order some pizzas and have a famliy game night... we've been hooked on board games lately - Sorry, Aggravation, Clue.. all the old classics.
Happy Valentine's Day Y'all!
