| | AND HOW ARE WE TODAY?
Well, 'we' are doing better. The reeling I felt after Wick's death is beginning to subside. I also lost an 'Internet' friend on the exact day that I lost Wick THEN one of my aunt's sisters(she had 5)passed on the same day also. Talk about starting the New Year off roughly would definitely be an understatement.
My baby girl's birthday was yesterday. Jessica turned 11. ELEVEN?! So much for baby girl She was a box of giggles yesterday. So much so that I literally gave up on schoolwork by noon. Her aunt and uncle decided to take she and her younger sister to lunch..at Pizza Hut! My now 11-year-old is an Italian at heart with her favorite all-time meals being pizza and spaghetti. Bet you cannot guess what we had for dinner?
No presents or cake was presented since that will come on Saturday at her party. But she was cool with that and nary a whine could be heard. Besides I think she's still suffering from 'toy newness' from what she got for Christmas. That poor GameCube hasn't had a day's rest since Grannie gave it to them. In fact, one of the controllers has already gone ka-put from over usage(I suppose). Not like those things are soldered for long time use anyway. The occasional drop-to-the-floor-from-a-lap has slightly jarred something in it. So Mama has summoned Auntie Sheela to search EBay for a couple of those wireless jobies. According to my video game expert(BIL Charlie), the wireless seem to hold out much better than the original ones that come with the game. Well alrighty then!
Anyhoo..we are having a Luau party this Saturday complete with grass skirts and leis! Knowing full well what a bummer it is to have your birthday at this time of year, mine being in February,I decided we needed some color. And what is more colorful than a Hawaii Luau? Basically a girlie kind of thing, ya know?!
CHANGING THE SUBJECT....Somebody sent this to me in my email box. It wasn't signed but I think I know who it was. There was a personal statement that professed that the sender didn't do real well. Unfortunately, I answered everyone correctly so I must be in the Old Geezer category! You try it and I'll post the answers tomorrow. Try not to cheat and wait until tomorrow pa-leeze!
