Well it's done and I get my life back! NaNoWriMo was a lot harder than I anticipated. Of course I started three days behind {almost} everyone else! And then there was Thanksgiving to contend with...

I say 'almost' everyone, because I did notice people that signed up and didn't even attempt the syllable. The message I recieved was that over 80% did not finish and I am thinking that possibly 70% of THAT didn't even begin. Why would you sign up for something that you had no intention of committing to?

But I finished and that was 'my' reasoning upon joining the madness. I know have a 250 pages manuscripit that is now screaming to be edited..and edited...and edited yet again. But it's done; the major jest of the story is now on paper. BWAHAHAHA!

I would get up daily at 4am, working until 7am(kid to get to school doncha know) and on weekends it was working from 7-9am(thank goodness for late weekend sleepers) and then back at it at 11pm until I would literally nod off at the computer. After I completed it two days ago..well this is my first day at the computer. Didn't even spend my lunch break in Pogo.com playing a rousing game of Tri-Peaks Solataire!

I just slept and slept late too! Hubby was home due to a surprise ice storm here in North Texas so HE got to take the young one to school. I just laid in bed, took the day off of homeschooling, and vegged. Watched Da Vinci Code and Cars and whatever we checked out from the local library. Hot cocoa brought to me by my favorite servant. Hey if the husband is taking off from work he can at least cater to my whims when he is home!

So now I'm partially rested and on to the editing process which should take oh, about six months! They should invent a NaNoWriMo Deux for polising of the manuscript in record time and what perfect time than smack dab in the middle of the Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa/Yule season?

Ok, ok, no nasty looks from the cheap seats. It was just a thought!
