| [ never be late again! ]a recent procrastination study shows that 26% of americans procrastinate. i definitely fall into that category, stands down. but, i am smart enough to set my clock forward so that i trick myself into being on time. now, most people i know who do that either set it 5, 10 or 15 min early. the problem is that it's too easy to subtract the time mentally so you end up fooling no one. i generally set my clocks 7 minutes ahead - it's much harder to calculate quickly.
too bad i'm actually good at mental math and now i further excel in subtractions in increments of 7. and i'm still late.
have no fear. today someone even smarter than me created *the* procrastinator's clock. it works because it's guaranteed to be up to 15 min early, but it also always fluctuates so you never know how much ahead it actually is. genius!
ps. as smart as the clock is, it'll never outsmart me. if i used it, i would always read the displayed time minus 1 (since the clock is always at least 1 min ahead) to minimize my earliness or i would subtract 8 and eventually my earliness will even out with my lateness.
am i hopeless?

| [ new years resolution ]i am not usually a resolutions type of girl, but there are a few things that I've actually been thinking about and wouldn't mind starting now...so why not?
- arrive to work earlier, by 9
- accountability, with a close girl friend, with someone from small group, with mark
- call home once a week
- email 1-2 friends a week
- gym (snowboard/bike also count since i live on the west coast) 3 times a week
keep me accountable
