  • I Just Don't Get It!

The strangest thing happened so now I'm probably looking like a bitch because of a warning label I put on the post. So you're not scratching your head wondering what I'm talking about if you're out there reading this unless it's just sitting here taking up room I'm talking about a friends only post ending up reposted on another person's blog. What is that about? The person didn't even ask if it was all right. That just has me ticked off so when I posted another meme thing yesterday I felt the need for a warning label that said it without pointing the finger at the person. If they did it the one time that could very well lead to a second time. Maybe that's the pessimist in me but that's just rude.

Now I'm sure the one person reading this along with my imaginary friend Bob (Hi Bob!) are wondering what was up with this post. It wasn't a mystery or anything since it was just a book meme thing. I did one over here but I think it was a different one since the one over here didn't at least I don't think it did and I don't feel like checking mentioned the Harry Potter books. Since I'm a girl that uses the bold because I think the text looks better that way I kind of throw out the instructions about bolding this and crowing like a rooster with the other directions so I just write by the book and say whether or not I've read it and I end up doing a book count at the end.

So the entry wasn't something with some deep dark secret but that isn't the issue the fact that it was posted without even asking me about it is the issue. I decided to Friends Only my LJ because for one it's not even a 0 so the paid posts are unlikely to turn up and if that happens I'll reopen it or whatever but that is up to me to do not someone else. I don't want someone to just think it's fine to go around posting my entries in their blog. I don't even understand why this entry would actually appeal to someone that they would feel this urge to post it in their blog. Was she impressed by how many of the books I read? So now I'll have to check to make sure other posts aren't showing up or I'll be forced to contact LJ. I wonder if you can ban someone from your blog? I guess I'll have to ask Frank.

The lesson behind this would be to not post other peoples blog posts. Why would someone do that anyway? Couldn't you just give a link to it? Sure my post was friend locked so that wouldn't work so fucking ask me because if I had been asked I wouldn't have had a problem with it but this doesn't bode well because I have every right to lock whatever posts I want which should imply that I don't want this post turning up on your blog but that applies to unlocked blogs as well. If you enjoy a post that's great and you want to share it that's great too but do it with a link or ask me before you go around posting my blog entries. Is that too much to ask or am I being a bitch that's going into paranoid mode? Now I'm off to get my hair cut finally since I'm over the whole Cousin It look.
