| | It all
started for us a few years ago with this reality TV show called The
Newlyweds(Nick & Jessica). A few people had told us how funny the
show was because of the wife(Jessica Simpson). She was clueless on so
many things and she made for some entertaining TV. We got hooked on
the show and the couple. Nick also reminded me of my buddies that I
use to hang out with. He was just this midwestern guy who loved sports
and all things midwestern. He was born in Kentucky but grew up in
Cincinnati so he was very down to earth. Jessica on the other hand was
the total opposite of him...but you could tell that he was madly in
love with her.
We use to talk about them like they were our friends.
We never could figure out why Nick put up with her and her father
always controlling every breath they took. It finally all came to an
end last year. Cybil and I really felt bad for the guy. We would see
him in interviews crying about the split...we just always wanted to
give him a hug like we would any real friend in that situation.
He
released this album a few months ago...we downloaded it off of
iTunes...liked the music....found out he was coming to Indy the day
after Cybil's birthday...so we felt like we should go and support him!
The show was fun...we had INCREDIBLE SEATS! ROW D CENTER STAGE....AND I MEAN CENTER STAGE!
I
was a bit concerned about being the only guy there....and if there were
going to be guys I was afraid I would be the oldest one! WRONG! There
were several guys older than me. Some in there 50's I would say. I
was relieved.
The
girl to guy ratio was probably 20 to 1! REALLY! Nick is somewhat like
a modern day Tom Jones. The girls REALLY like this guy......and so
does my wife!
About ten minutes into the show he had been standing 10 feet away
singing his heart out...I leaned over to Cybil and asked if she thought
he was cute....
I pretty much knew her answer....with a child like smile walking
through the gates of Disney World she said..."YES"! When you have dark
hair...blue eyes....a great smile...muscles....dimples....and a great
singing voice....you pretty much have it all!
I
had wanted to stay after the show and get Cybil's picture with
Nick....we waited for a little over an hour with another 150 people.
He came out but only signed autographs...didn't speak hardly at all
because he was ill...and wouldn't pose for pictures.
I did snap a few photos of him. His very large body guard thought I
was the paparazzi! REALLY! He told me to quit taking pictures and I
better not sell them. I pleaded my case and told him it was Cybil's
birthday...he then remembered seeing us at the show and told me to take
all the pictures I wanted. I thought he was going to take me down!
Here are a few pictures...I am sure Cybil will talk more about it later today....

Oh yeah...be sure and check out the portrait sessions our buddy Jessica Strickland shot last week...they are the cutest pictures! Cybil and I thought they were adorable!
