While I am really not into sweets and desserts, (sugar gives me a headache), I couldn't help but be impressed by chompchompchoco's collection of Favorites on Flickr. The slideshow is really awesome - all kinds of ooey gooey treats. I get just as much enjoyment looking at the pictures as some people would get actually eating all that stuff. 
I did find this amazing looking recipe for New York Pecan Squares that I just may have to try. Talk about ooey gooey! - or, as the recipe poster called them, goopy squares.
