Oh yes, it's winter in Wisconsin. That means snow and cold. Some people complain, but then some people complain about
everything. I say look for the positive. I'm not saying I always look for the positive, merely saying that I say it. Anyway, I do like cold weather because cold weather means
soup! Yes, I know you can have soup any time, but cold weather just screams for it. Today I made one of our favorites:
Hearty Soup. Of course, it's soup so we couldn't eat it tonight. It has to cool, then be reheated for tomorrow. I'm not sure if it will cool enough to go into my refrigerator tonight, but here's where the advantage of cold weather comes in. I can stick the pot of soup out in the garage to cool. It will definitely stay cool out there! It's supposed to get down to around 5° tonight.
Then again, I wasn't planning to
freeze the soup.
