It has been brought to my attention that this isn't as bad as the email makes it out to be... it won't fry your hard drive, and CNN didn't call it the worst virus ever... however, it is a real virus and it doesn't hurt to be careful, and only open e-cards from trusted sites, and do it on their site, not in your email...
Clicked on Snopes link & it is real.......

I got this in email the other day. It's good advice, going directly to the card website, then pasting in the card address.
RYC: I agree, I was shocked when I saw the picture of myself! No wonder he threw me!!
Computer virus means no xanga : (
Thank you soooooo much for the warning! My wife loves those e-cards. Yikes!
I've been getting this same email warning for several months. I wonder if this is another new one.. Thanks for the heads up.
I've been getting this warning for a while but I appreciate the reminder. I don't need any viruses.
I actually have a Hallmark program but I never use their online cards. I got an email about this and it's good advice for sure. I do receive mailings from Hallmark since I have registered because I bought the program. I LOVE Jacqui Lawson and usually use her when I send an ecard. I pay for the online subscription but feel it is well worth it. I also use one that my Aussie friend uses. I usually don't open my Hallmark stuff anyway since I figure it's just an advert wanting me to buy something.
Thanks for the reminder. Which reminds me...I should back up my files again with our external whatever thingy.
hmmm. I just wonder if the liberals in congress would consider waterboarding too harsh a penalty for these *+$% that create these viruses? Maybe there's punishment worse than waterboarding that would be appropriate.
I knew...I am POSITIVE that I'm subscribed already. They asked me again so I subscribed again...Can't subscribe too many times I guess.
Just don't want to take any chances
Oh wow, I haven't seen this one circulating, thanks for the warning. I don't get a lot of emails, but I'll keep this in mind.
Hope you're having a good day!
Love ya, Cyn
oooh wow. my mom loves those e-card things. thanks for the heads up.
Go all the way down to the bottom of the snopes page. It shows that your warning is part hoax. This isn't something big coming, nor did CNN classify it as "worst virus ever."
The virus is real, but it's been around for a while.
