  I am sooo excited! Tomorrow is the election! I went to a Youth Rally & Precinct Walk on Saturday.  It was fun because I went with a friend, but unfortunately I have never heard so much bad language in my entire life (from other teenagers there).    Oh well.  

  Have you ever gotten in an argument with someone about abortion (or another topic) and you just end the little "debate" because it is so pointless, you know you are right and you know they are wrong.  Not to sound stuck up, but some discussions are pointless because one side is wrong and one side is right.  Now, of course, you do it in a very humble way...

  I was listening to Brian Sussman last week and he was talking about his family's experience with social workers and adoption etc.  At the time they had one daughter (age 2) and were trying to adopt a four year old.  When the social worker came in for the "home inspection" she was upset to learn that Mr. & Mrs. Sussman disciplined their 2 year old daughter with spankings.  This led a pretty heated argument about spankings and child-rearing in general.  Finally Mrs. Sussman said something like, "Excuse me Ms. social worker, how many children do you have by the way?" and the social worker said, "I don't have any children, but I have "such and such" degress in child psychology."  So, Mrs. Sussman said, "Well, I've got the degrees and the kid, so there!"
