| hey people... sorry for the latency in posting, but i have been extremely busy lately due to debate and music, beings as i am in 6 bands (including worship bands) that pretty much takes up all my time.. music and debate together = being really busy
i have some good news and some bad news...
good news - as some of you may know, i am in a band from amherst (near cleveland), after a show we did in elyria, we put up a 38 second movie clip of ourselves on the This I Cherish myspace (this i cherish is the name of the band), to make a long story short, Facedown Records contacted Gary (the lead vocalist) saying that they liked what they saw, overlooking the poor quality.. and it also happened that the TIC's (this i cherish) influences consisted mostly of bands within the facedown label, so they liked that i guess, and told us that they want us to send in a demo..
bad news - i kicked one of my friends in the face, to the death of his face!.. although we always screw around and we never seem to hurt each other, but this time was a little crazy.. well, it all started with us trying to kick the top of a door post, and all this seemed to be all fun, and he went and jump kicked to try to get up higher, well this wasn't a good idea, cus right as he was about to jump, he kinda went forward, and he did it right as i was about to kick, so when i kicked, i t was at a hard upward motion kick, and he was moving slightly downward to get a good jump goin on, right then the sole of my shoe made contact with the side of his face/nose area, when he finally got off the floor to see what damage had happened, we noticed that he was bleeding from bloth nostrils, his cheek was all busted and bleeding, his eyelid was cut and bleeding, and there was blood coming from his tear gland/eye area.. so he wasn't having a good day... moral of the story... don't try to kick door posts, its hazardess to ones health.... although i finally did it later (leah as my witness), and of course i did it with "safety" in mind... don't be amazed, and it won't happen often... (having safety in mind, that is) |
