| | TURTLES AND MY FOOT
some interesting thoughts on faith most of which i've heard before, but this is worded well...and there are turtles
i was working on packing the house tonight while derrick was on the
phone with his mom. i still have the 3-leg table from my
wedding. i took the table apart and packed it and the table cover
two weeks ago but tonight i decided i needed to wrap the glass cover to
keep it safe in the truck.
once finished, i carried it to the stack of
too-large-for-a-box-but-still-breakable stuff in the corner. as i
went to set it down it slipped from my hand...and landed square on top
of my foot. luckily, it didn't shatter and shred my foot.
but it hurt like crazy and has left a nice little whelp/bruise.
it's funny because you can see exactly where it landed. it left a
perfect line.
it's not hurting like it was at first. we thought i might have
broken it there for a while. but it's not swelling and the pain
has lessened. it still hurts to walk though which should make
loading and unloading the moving truck this weekend interesting to say
the least. ah well...the sacrifices we make.
