    Monday was my day off.

Unlike past Monday's, I did nothing I normally do.  I actually took the whole day off.  I never get up early on Monday's so I did that and hung out with my brother all morning.  I also never wear GWU clothes anymore, but I did that, too.  I wore GW baseball tee(it used to be my favorite shirt before wearing it became treason) with a glorious navy blue GW long sleeved shirt underneath.

For most of my recent days off that I can remember, I've gone into work.  Not this time, I don't even think I got in the car once which is also out of the ordinary.  I went to a brand new Post Office and got some kick ass Dr. Seuss stamps.  When I got home, I turned on an episode of the Gilmore Girls (like always) but I actually turned it off!!! Instead I worked out for the first time in weeks but I didn't do my standard 45 minute yoga tape.  Oh no.   I compiled an hour long play list of music I could shake it to and danced like a fool around my bedroom.  There was even some tennis racket guitar and hairbrush microphone going on.  After that I took a much needed shower which I admittedly do everyday but this shower was different because I also cleaned the grout.  That's right, ladies, gents, and Mom.  I cleaned my shower, which as one might guess, I have never done before.

After my 45 minute shower (the walls were really dirty...) I took a nap.  Great nap.  I don't remember when I fell asleep but I woke up around 7 and felt completely rested.

On most Monday nights, I go to my friend Matt's house and watch 24 and laugh at the ridiculous intensity of it all.  Yesterday, I totally forgot about it and stayed home to edit a friend's paper on Metatarsalgia.  Never did that before either.

I really enjoyed this 'off' day.  It was fun and I liked getting out of the routine.  Uncle Skippy liked it, too, because he actually let me sleep through the night last night.

    Good day.  Good kitty.
