It's kind of a sleepy Friday today, actually.  All the students moved out and headed home last night or this morning so it is eerily quiet.  In another week this will feel normal and peaceful, but today it just feels slow.  I had to say goodbye to Nathan McConnaughhay yesterday, who came as a freshman my first year working here and has been doing work study in our office longer than any of my other workers.  Not only that, but he was involved in Lighthouse and then at Crossings with us.  I definitely cried when he came by to say goodbye for now, but I know he will touch a lot of lives.

Cana and Katie came over last night and watched the Thursday night shows with me, which was nice since Bill and Taylor were playing a show at Manhattan's downtown till late.  And they brought me a refreshing drink from Starbucks which made the night go down even easier.  I am sad that this past week was the last time our small group met as a whole group for a while.  Kristin and Cana will head home, and Heather and Kim will be gone mid-June, but hopefully we'll come up with some fun things to do and some of us can meet all summer at least.

I think the whole weekend will probably be quiet like this since everybody's gone and Taylor is flying to Puerto Rico.  I am thinking it's a good weekend to make some soup (yet another Mandy Watson recipe that blows my mind) and watch movies at home in our PJs!  Sounds good to me!  Have a great weekend everybody!

p.s. note the MMJ album release on 6/11/08!  Can't wait!

A "Friday, sweet Friday" is better than a "Sunday, bloody Sunday" any day. I'm sorry I wasn't able to find you this past trip to Knoxville, friend. Know that I wanted to swing by and chat for a bit often, but never found the opportunity. I hope you're doing well!
