  • My new toy.

I got a new camera from Bill for my birthday and I just started trying it out over the weekend.  I love it!  I can't wait to learn how to do all kinds of cool stuff with it.  I don't have a case for it yet so I haven't taken it out, hence the 30 pictures of Harley and Bill.  Here are my two favorites:

I love how clear they are turning out.  It's the first time I've been able to take pictures of Harley without giving her red eyes!

My folks were over the weekend again because my dad had the 4th off.  He loves his new job and I'm a little jealous of it...he's making book covers for a publishing company.  This job suits him much more than the one he's done his whole life.  He had a rough end to his job of 30 years as a funeral director, dealing with grieving people all the time and embalming (I'll leave out the details).  He's always been into art and after 30 years, he gets paid to do it.  I love it for him.

Anyway, on the 4th we went to eat at Connor's in Pigeon Forge and since Bill and I are hooked on putt-putt, we played a round at the Ripley's course...the one with the pigs with wings.  It was really fun and actually really cool weather which was wonderful for me!  Saturday we of course went to Market Square and that night my mom took us all out to "Ye Olde Steak House".  I had never been in all my 9 years of Knoxville life and it was the best steak I've ever had.  It was a perfectly cooked slab of meat.

Yesterday was my last time singing at Crossings for a while.  We had a staff dinner last night at the Nelsons welcoming Mike and Amber Sawyer to the team.  Mike will be working a handful of hours a week organizing youth small groups and we are very excited to have him doing that.  He and Amber have both been a huge help already at Crossings!!  We played some games and laughed and had a good time in general.

Today, Taylor and Bill are playing at WDVX for the Blue Plate Special!  This is huge and I'm going to be listening online starting at noon!  You should too!

    Have a great week!
