• Where were you one year ago today?

  One year ago today, I was at the church I worked at last summer, east of Austin, saying goodbye to the pastor that had hired me.  I was completely unsure of the direction I, or the church, would be going.  I was trying to get to know my youth better, and I had just gotten back from a pretty cool trip to south texas and visiting my family and friends.  I was trying to figure out some deep theological questions about reformed theology, and really beginning to dislike R.C. Sproul (not because of the things he said, but because of the way he said them... he struck me as a jerk, and someone I wouldn't want to hang out with).  I was thinking about how I would share the gospel with the kids at VBS, which was that week, since the church I was at would have no pastor for the week.
