    The End of Days

I was talking to a friend earlier today and he started asking me about the end of times.  His first question challenged me on whether or not I thought it was the end of times.  My reply was that no one can predict the end of times.  I told him the Mayans are more than likely wrong.  Altruistically the media is hyping this up just to start something.  It's what they do.  But that's besides the point.

Later I logged onto my Xanga account and, to my surprise, someone left me a comment.  It was a comment under my blog 'The ACLU is Taking Away My Rights'.  He left part of scripture which I will share with you.  I also will add in a little bit more of the scripture that he didn't add:

'But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power.  Have nothing to do with them.' - 2 Timothy 3:1-5

There's so many different things going on in this and I have witnessed every one of these acts being committed more than once.  And you ask yourself the same question don't you?  How many times have you seen some of these things happen?  I bet if you have good enough memory you can at least think of one thing for each of these.  It's really not that hard.

So I thought about my response to my friend again.  It wouldn't surprise me if the end of times came tomorrow (at least for the Christians anyway.)  These are laws that we're breaking.  They're laws that we're breaking because we have become selfish.  We've filled ourselves with so much determination to be ourselves that we've forgot about everyone else.  Thus, we have broken God's commandments.  You know, there's not a single person in this world who has yet to break a commandment.  Argue with me if you'd like.  But when you turn around and say to your friends how much you hate me because you think that I'm conceited, you, my brother, have killed me in your heart.  That is sin.

And it's just as easy to say when you turn around that you have no self-control because you worked yourself up so much that you go so frustrated you had no where else to go.  You were being rash and treacherous.  That's three laws broke out of the scripture listed above.

And if that Sunday you still attend church with your family like you did last week, but deny what I have told you about the Ten Commandments, then you have broken another law in the scripture above.

And if later that Sunday eve you get into an awful argument with your wife because she thinks that you're being too rejecting about the situation with me, then you have been abusive, brutal, and proud.  And when you sleep in different beds that night you are being ungrateful.

And Monday morning when you come into work and you see me but choose to ignore me, then you are being unforgiving.

My brother, you have broke nine of the laws listed in that scripture in less than one week's time.  That is a sign of the end of times.  True, I am not perfect and I too break these rules.  However, if the situation would have ended at scenario 1 then only three rules would have been broke.  Three is six less than nine.  Which number is better to have?

There are many lovers of themselves or money in this world too.  They are generally boastful about their worth and very prideful of it.  The Bible teaches us not to boast or brag and it tells us to be humble.  From a normal person's point of view, how honestly annoying is it when someone tries to show off stuff to you all of the time?  I hate it.  I'm sure you do too.  But these people are breaking God's law again.  Another signal to the end of days.

So I'm going to end there and let you think about the rest by yourselves.  I don't acknowledge that the end of times are near nor do I reject the idea.  I don't need to think about the end of times.  I know where I'm going when I die.  However, I gather this information for you in hopes that you may take it in and see for yourselves just how sinful of people we are.  I know that I'm undeserving and I thank God often for loving me and sending His only Son.  What do you think?

    Hello Bliss,
You worked hard to make your site simple yet elegant. I see that you know that we are living in the End times! Most people are in denial. I want to help people to really get to know know God and His plans for us, especially in these troubled times."All they have eyes for is the fashionable god of darkness. They think he can give them what they want, and that they won't have to bother believing a Truth they can't see..." (2Corinthians 4:4) (Message Bible)
I like to write articles about God and religion on my site. I hope you get a chance to look at them.
