| People always ask me how I can listen to country music, and I always come back with the response that I can relate to the lyrics of the songs. And now I have found the song that give the best example of how I relate to the lyrics. On Sugarland's newest album, "Love on the Inside" the song 'Keep You' describe a time of my life where I was in so much pain I was numb. I was so hurt from what did/didn't happen with a guy and I trying to find out what was wrong with me, I just became numb. There were no ups or no downs, no sadness(even thought I was in the most depressing time in my life) and no joys. I was just existing, not a way to live. This time of my life I have never been able to put into words, till I found this song. I hope this leaves you with a little understanding of that time of my life. From the Sugarland website: 'Keep You' Is it possible to write an emotional song about being numb? It’s like writing a song about being loud by being quiet, Nettles and Bush think. That irony, blended with a bittersweet epiphany of knowing it’s time to walk away, make this one of the most contemporary done-me-wrong songs of our time. “Subtlety and nuance make all the difference in this song. Painting emotions with broad strokes is easy, but this time we’re using a toothbrush to dig through the finer emotions,” says Nettles, comparing the duo to archeologists. And the vocal range she plays with throughout keep this song on the edgier side, because of the way she explodes into huge notes that few singers can even attempt. From the album liner notes: "When a pending pain is so big, there is an inner place that a soul will go to keep from breaking. A place where it sits and hold terrible still, an emotional coma that allows our heart a moment of Peace so that we can begin to heal. In this place we find a void, where there is no feeling, no up, no down, so sound, no taste. This song is about that void. The lyrics: We said goodbye. Tried her hand at magic. But we couldn't make us disappear. Not a day goes by I don't wish I had you. So run away, I'm glad you're still here. It's a bitter sweet victory. Lovin' the ghost in front of me.
Now I can't laugh, can't cry. And I can't run, can't hide. What do I gotta do? What do I gotta do to keep you? What do I gotta do to keep you from doing this to me?
I wrote a couple of notes. One in love, one in anger. They're lying there dying in the dresser drawer. Lived louder than my voice. Struggled through a stranger. He loved me until I loved you even more. It's a bitter sweet victory. Lovin' someone else who wanted me.
Now I can't laugh, can't cry. And I can't run, can't hide. You get used to the pain, and numb to the sting Till you can't feel anything.
You tried to explain, but I couldn't hear it. As if your words were my tears. Flowing freely, warm and quiet. From the edges of my eyes and my ears. Then all that disappears.
Now I can't laugh, can't cry. And I can't run, can't hide. Now I can't laugh, can't cry. And I can't run, can't hide.
What do I gotta do? What do I gotta do to keep you? What do I gotta do to keep you from doing this to me? Please let me know what you think, I'm always wanting to know your opinion.

| Radiator says 95 but I ain't felt a drop of heat all night here in this motel there's no tellin me nothin' I come here five nights a week to clean the toilets and change these sheets my name's Maggie Duran Baby ain't that somethin'
Chorus: If you want it Come and get it If you want it Come and get it You'll understand You take me as I am
I know these corners I know these streets Curbside prophets they're yellin' at me He can save my soul for a drink and a dollar They keep starin' at my tattoos We all live with the scars we choose They might hurt like hell but they all make us stronger
Chorus
Slow to trust but I'm quick to love Push too hard and I give too much I ain't sayin' I'm perfect but I promise I'm worth it Now I'm standing here in front of you Tell me boy what you gonna do My name's Maggie Duran Baby ain't that somethin'

| Where was this song 4 years ago when I really could have used it...She couldn't see the way your eyes, Will light up when you smiled She never noticed how you stop and stare Whenever she walked by
And you couldn't see me wanting you the way you want her But you are everything to me
And I just wanted to show you She didn't even know you She never loved you like I wanted to And you just saw right through me But if you only knew me We could have been a beautiful, miracle, unbelievable Instead of just invisible
Their is a fire inside of you That can't help but shine through She's never going to see the light No matter what you do
And all i thought about is how to make you think of me And everything that we could be
And I just wanted to show you She didn't even know you She never loved you like I wanted to And you just saw right through me But if you only knew me We could have been a beautiful, miracle, unbelievable Instead of just invisible
Like shadows in a faded light Oh we're invisible I just wanted to open your eyes And make you realize
[Chorus:] I just wanted to show you She don't even know you Baby let me love you let me want you You just saw right through me But if you only knew me We could have been a beautiful, miracle, unbelievable Instead of just invisible
She can't see the way your eyes Light up when you smile

| Cold As You
You have a way of coming easily to me And when you take You take the very best of me So I start a fight cause I need to feel something And you do what you want Cause I'm not what you wanted
Oh, what a shame What a rainy ending given to a perfect day So just walk away No use defending words that you will never say And now that I'm sitting here thinking it through I've never been anywhere cold as you
You put up walls and paint them all a shade of gray And I stood there loving you and washed them all away And you come away with a great little story Of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you
Oh, what a shame What a rainy ending given to a perfect day So just walk away No use defending words that you will never say And now that I'm sitting here thinking it through I've never been anywhere cold as you
You never did give a damn thing, honey But I cried, cried for you And I know you wouldn't have told nobody if I died Died for you (died for you)
Oh, what a shame What a rainy ending give to a perfect day Every smile you fake is so condescending Counted all the scars you made Now that I'm sitting her thinking it through I've never been anywhere cold as you ~Taylor Swift & Liz Rose

| Mark Wahlberg film marathon! So I just saw 2 really good movies last night and it was great cause I haven't seen a great movie in a long time. I watched "We Own the Night" with Joaquin Phoneix, Mark Wahlberg, and Eve Mendes. Now if you can get past all the foul language it is really good movie. The other one was "Shooter" with Mark Wahlberg. (yes I did are Mark Wahlberg movie marathon, he was hot and it was amazing!) The next 3 that are on my list are "The Departed", "Four Brothers" and "Fear", yes all 3 are Mark Wahlberg films, so sue me I'm on a Mark Walberg high right now.
