I got a new fridge for my early birthday present!  Woohoo!  It's soooo nice.  The old one is sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor right now though.  Anyway, here's a picture of it.

My wonderful hubby tried to get me the stove that goes with it, but it won't fit in my teeny kitchen, without a lot of remodeling.  Who'da thunk I'd have an apartment size stove, and who'da thunk that size would cost twice as much as a standard house sized stove????  Guess I'll continue limping along with my 3 working burners and semi-done cakes.

Do they not realize that it's summer and it will be fine if they sleep past the crack of dawn???

Chad spends the night with Wesley and goes to bed at 10 and sleeps till 11 the next morning. Vivian complains about when she sleeps over to babysit our friends' kids that they wake her up at 7, which is too early. Kaylee sleeps all freakin day long at home. And the worst is Joel, who huffs and puffs when I fall asleep on him at 11 pm after taking a dozen or so pills, yet when his clock goes off at 6:30 and he wakes me up yelling at Chad to go back to bed and I roll over to snuggle, he jumps up and runs off claiming to need to go to work. Then he TURNS ON THE BLASTED TV and sits there for another half hour trying to see the weather!!! All I ask is to sleep till 7 or 7:30 without a bunch of noise. Every one of said offenders was up making noise before 7, and Mr. "I have neeeeeds" will once again be grabbing at me at midnight when I'm unconscious tonight. Ugh!

The thing that kills me is that the little ones slept till 8 like civilized humans!

We had VBS this week and I'm plum tuckered out.  We do Mon.-Thurs. mornings, then a big family night thingy Thursday night with wacky water olympics.  The kids had a blast, and it wasn't too bad for me last night, considering I somehow brought 7 kids with me!  Yikes!  My kids are having trouble getting going this morning, but the neighbor kids apparently aren't, as they are already here asking for Chad.  I was surprised at how well I did all week with my feet.  It really wiped me out, but I was able to get through the mornings without too much pain.  I suffered at night, but I made it through the mornings, LOL!  I had to do the water thing alone with all those kids because Joel was at one of those market research things, for which he made $150, so who am I to complain???

Tuesday we had to get my brakes fixed on my van, and get diagnosed as to why the check engine light is on.  It's either some exhaust thing that won't be too pricey, or a transmission thing which would mean rebuilding it, which it's not worth doing on such an old vehicle.  Ugh.  The manager at the shop suggested we just do the cheap thing one of these days and don't worry about the transmission as long as it's not giving us any trouble.  So I guess I'm good to go until one day it just conks out.   It sure is nice to be able to stop without the grinding and bouncing!
