Currently Playing
John Denver: Greatest Hits, Vol. 2
By John Denver

In two of my classes, there are sign language translators.  My math class tends to become monotonous, so I simply begin paying attention to the sign language professional, rather than the professor.

Today, before class started, the sign language lady was talking to the student in the front row and they seemed to be having a great chat.  She was signing REALLY fast and laughing, etc.  When class started, she became serious and started signing.  I noticed, though, that every once in awhile she would start laughing and while signing things to the student.  I'm pretty sure she wasn't signing things about truth tables and number sets.  I started thinking then that it would be glorious to be able to totally ignore the unecessary information the professor says, simply by being deaf and having a cool sign language translator who could liven up the class for you.

Last night, I cooked corn chowder and apple dapple cake for my kitchen.  I decided that, from now on, I will be playing themed music for my kitchen mates.  Last night, it was John Denver's Greatest Hits.

Well, kids, it's time to go play in the snow.

New thing to write about, thanks to Ms. Allison Taylor--Check this out.  It's about Ligers...http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/20050209.html

Sign language translators would definitely distract me from learning anything.  It would be cool though to have someone liven up the lecture...especially for math class--*snooze*.  Do you know if there are any special cake mixes where you can make a cake in the microwave?...because I was thinking about that the other day and thought it would be really cool to make a cake in the microwave...I'm weird.

Their job sounds harder than the professor's job! The professor already has a lesson plan thought out and ready to go, but the interpreter has to get it ALL on the fly, AND get it right, AND translate it into another language. It's kind of like working at Starbucks.

kyleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... why do they let deaf people drive, but it's illegal for a normal hearing person to wear headphones while driving?  along with the whole braille on an atm... do  we really want to encourage people to mug blind people getting money? things to think about. have a nice day.
