How much are you affected by what people say about you?
I usually ignore it most of the time. One's own opinion of oneself is always most important.
I mean... sure.... it sounds self-centered... but hey... you can't help others if you can help yourself - I think that saying applies to this somehow.
I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

I thought this question was a bit too vague. I mean, it really depends on who the person is and what they say. If a good friend tells me something negative about me then I know they are trying to help me and I may not like it but I hear them out. If someone I don't know says something just to get to me, I usually ignore the prospect of any validity.
