I almost forgot on my last post, I am asking for ways that each of you have found to keep your prayer life fresh!  I am a list person, and there are times that I just want to show God the list....comprende?  I like to listen to music and read the Psalms when I pray, and that keeps me focussed...any other good ideas?

Hi Pastor! I was so happy to receive your comment and learn that you have one of these wonderful things as well.

With my prayer life, I write to God in my journal as if I am writing Him a letter. I have been doing this now for the past two years and it helps me to keep my focus on Him and just to pour out what I cannot speak verbally. And to tell you the truth, being here at college, my prayer life has never been better or more real and essential to my daily life. I praise God for the strength He is giving me during this change in my life. Have a great week and hope to see you soon. *Rebekah :)

I write all my prayers in a journal (and then lock it in a safe composed of 5 foot of concrete and steel so that no one can see what I struggle with!). I like writing better than speaking because it makes me think more. And then there is also the philosphical plus of being able to actually see your words. I think it is good too because I can look back and see what I have been praying for and see how God is working. I'm not sure that I could have remembered what I was praying for last March if I didn't write it down, but now I can look and see how far God has taken since then.

thanks for praying for me!! it's starting to get a little harder each day but that's when i just start praying more. i know God will use this for His glory, but it's really hard to think about at a time like this. i am praying for marc that he will find a good christian guy who can talk to him and keep him accountable. i know it probably is harder for him than me, and that just makes me think of him more and pray for him more. i'll let you know when we get his address.

I will admit that praying is my hardest discipline to "get into". I am not sure if it is my pride or if i am to self reliant but do struggle in this area. for me though, writing seems to help, like the above blogger said! even though you will not tthink much of my grammar or spellinga at times when i have put pen to paper and talked to God te real me came out.....but i might try your list idea....here you go God, get it done! jk

My blogging is slow in coming as well. midrashfromthemindofme.blogspot.com

thanks for all th mentoring, even when you didn;t know you where doing it!
