In Search of the Truth

I guess it's best to live life and form its philosophy through self-knowledge, experience and evidences.  Overall, the freedom to learn from our experiences, to use facts instead of faith and superstition and  the freedom to increase knowledge is important.  My simple life philosophy is to never stop learning and growing from many things that come across my ways that mold me into a new person at each phase of my life.  Everyday, I struggle to distinguish my own voice from the imposing voices of the others.  The worst thing for anyone is to be imprisoned in the dogma of their upbringings instead of having intellectual rebellion as the first stepping stone for their liberation.  I want to live my life beyond the imprisonment of the Christian and burmese dogmas that I was raised with.  I want to test their validity and reliability.  The ideological raw material for our perception of the truth comes from our cultural and religious backgrounds.  The legitimacy of the truth doesn't come from whether we are Christians or atheists or Democrats or Republicans but it stands firmly on the means of arriving at the truth that either corrobates or impoverishes its logical coherence and relevance in the real world.    Whereever our perceptions of the truth comes from, they must all go through the scruntinzing filter of reason and critical thinking---this ongoing process of evaluating and searching for evidences from both sides of a coin to come a strong conclusion.  And I guess that is what distinguishes a dogma from a logical or scientific thought.

But life is unpredictable.  There might come a time when I find myself that my best isn't good enough.  There might come a time when I have to let go of someone I love and care about and restructure my priority list.  There might come a time when I'll be betrayed and left heart broken AGAIN.  There might be a time when I'll be abandoned by the people I trust and be left alone to face this world.

I know I can control my future and I 'm doing the best I can everyday.  But who knows what'll happen tomorrow? there are times of happiness and sadness but it's never too late for learning, growing and  renewing.

In this ideal world, we distinguish between facts and fakes.
