Website of the Week: www.christianbook.com - the website of Christian Book Distributors (CBD).  There's a lot of good stuff and some stuff that we can all do without.  But there's some good stuff that's so readily available.  Look out for the Reformation Study Bible (also available through www.ligonier.org or through www.reformationstudybible.com).  It's going to go like hotcakes.

It's somewhat ironic to me that we live in an age where knowledge and information can be passed on so quickly.  I mean, guys, there are so many opportunities for us to learn and so many resources at our fingertips (literally, with the internet so, er, handy).  But we are so numb and dumb to things of God, to knowing Him, to knowing His Word in an edifying and significant way.  We have study Bible, student Bible, One Year Bibles, Living Bibles (as if God's Word weren't already alive to our beating hearts), Women's Bibles, Men's Bibles, Kid's Bibles, Beginner's Bibles, Seeker's Bibles, Discoverer's Bibles, Bibles for military and so on and so forth.  They're all based on God's one Word, just attempts at making it easier for us to read it.

But it's not about making it more accessible to us.  I think it's more about making ourselves more accessible to God's Spirit...opening up our hearts and minds and disciplining ourselves.  I need His Word.  I crave His Word.

"I have stored up your word in my heart...." - Psalm 119:11a ESV

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." - Psalm 119:105 ESV

"I rejoice at your word like one who finds great spoil." - Psalm 119:162 ESV
