| | I get campaign emails from Barack Obama.
That's OK-- I asked for them. I've even given money to his campaign (as well as to others). But I am getting a little annoyed. Some day, perhaps, I'll get around to fighting with the powers that be. In the meantime, I hit 'reply' and sent the following missive to the Obama for President spam filter:
Senator Obama,
I'm glad your momentum in Iowa is real.
But
I'm rather upset that you've given up on Florida. Our presidential
primary is coming up on January 29th-- same day as the South Carolina
race you've been talking so much about. And the DNC has pledged to
ignore our vote.
This is real disenfranchisement, far more severe than what
happened on Election Night 2000, and I'm angry that you're going along
with the national party's decision to silence the voice of Florida's
voters.
What's the plan? I'm glad that Iowa likes you, and I hope South Carolina likes you too. I want to see you in the White House.
I just wish that my vote mattered.
Sincerely,
[me]
