So Riverside was an interesting experience.

I drove up sunday about 5. On the way up there I saw Bobby Bailey in the car next to me. lol. he made faces at me. I got to the hotel and sat around. I watched half of "Little Nicky" and some random Marky Mark movie. My mom eventually showed up like 3 hours later and i finally went to bed.

The next day we drove down the street to the campus and we checked in and everything. I feel bad because i dont remember the names of all the people i met. I think my roommates name was Jaime...but i could be wrong. We stayed up in the nice dorms. Loft beds are not so fun...but its ok. lol. We did a lot of dumb "get to know your neighbor" crap, but it wasnt that bad. We went to some boring lectures about their internet system that we have to use and stuff. then we were assigned a counselor involved with our major. His name was Freddy and he was a music major. I hung out with the other 2 girls in our group most of the time. I think their names were Shannon and Danielle...later that day i met with a lady in the arts department and she talked to me about all my breadth and major requirements. i'm a little ticked because i still have to take 2 science classes...urg. but thats ok. so i worked out my schedule and what i wanted. that night there was this improv team from san diego that came up and performed. that was pretty cool. then they had some dance thing or a movie so me and shannon went and watched "anger management". it was pretty funny. not one of adam sandler's best but it was good. there was lightning and a storm but no rain or thunder...odd. but it turns out the lightning took out all the computers so the next day we had trouble registering. we were gonna do it by hand and i wasnt looking forward to that because if something was closed i didnt have any backups...so we started doing it by hand and they got like 3 up and had these ladies do it for us. hoorah. i wanted to take sociology but it was closed. sad. so i'm taking film studies instead. in addition to that i'm in "intro to the bible" because i need a religious studies class and it'll help me understand all the parts of the bible that i'm too lazy to read. i think that will be good. and i'm in contemporary theatre...which i think is a more critiquing class. i dont think i get to do any drama, but whatever. there wasnt much open cuz ours was the last orientation. meh.

i came home and went to the awards thing and that was kinda boring and no one seemed very excited to see me...but whatever. i went home, slept like 12 hours because i didnt sleep much this weekend, and now i'm at home and at my mom's beck and call because she's "sick". ::rolls eyes:: whatever. i'm leaving for the hill soon, so freedom!

cya on the hill or if not, uh....some other time?
