so i was watching vh1 last night at like 2 in the morning and watched the top 40 countdown of the best 80's metal hair bands. why? i dont know. morbid curiosity? but i found out that Kevin Dubrow is actually the lead singer of Quiet Riot. so for you homestar fans out there, now you know where that name comes from. lol.

its funny to think that in like 20 years they'll be doing a countdown of the best underground bands. there are too many types to split up and do one for each, so i think they'll just lump 'em all together.

i think perhaps the 80's hair bands is where we get guys wearing really tight girl jeans today...and according to vh1, nirvana killed the hair bands, and the best one was poison, second to twisted sister. just in case you were wondering.

okay, now that i know the history of this random random genre of music, i'm gonna go wash my mind out.
