  • School Visit

Miraculous! There was no rain over the weekend. Therefore, I didn't have to rush my freshly laundered clothing inside the house before they received a second "washing" or close all the windows before the rain came in sideways. Ironed for the first time since ... junior high. The combat with wrinkly shirts and pants has opened my eyes to how long I've taken the dryer and dryer sheets for granted. If you know how to make clothes fluffy and nice smelling without those, please share!

I visited ACS Primary this morning. They had an outreach chapel service several weeks ago and many boys accepted Christ or wanted to further seek Him. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and help with follow up. First, watching the teacher patiently interact with 12 energetic, intelligent, and talkative 10-year-olds for half an hour left me with much respect for all primary school teachers out there! Second, having an entire class stand up, bow, and greet me really solidified the fact that I've crossed the boundary that divides a "jie jie" from an "ah yi" ... okay, not if I can help it. I plan to continue helping out for the next few weeks, so please pray that God would teach me how to teach 10-year-old boys to love Christ! :)

UPDATE: Only two more meetings: 4/28 and 5/12.
