  • Today marks my second expedition into the wild, wild west that is Singapore Botanic Gardens. One of the guys at work is keeping me accountable on my running.

Had dim sum for the first time in Singapore! A friend from Hong Kong invited me to join her and her family for lunch in Chinatown. I have to admit that it's really hard to drag me out of the house on Saturdays. I'm always trying to catch up - on sleep, laundry, cleaning the room, and writing. I'm thankful that God has people extend invitations that get me out of the house and exploring the city around me. My eyes lit up with excitement when I temporarily lost myself in the little shops right outside the Chinatown station this morning. Thank Lord for friendships.

Miss my brother (親弟弟), elder brother (哥哥) and his wife, elder sisters (大姊,二姊), adopted parents and Oscar, and my prayer buddy. Fervently pray that God answers the prayers most dear in their hearts. Miss uncontrollable, stomach hurting laughter. Perhaps this missing derives from anticipation of what's to come - insane curiosity at how God will answer the prayers reflecting desires hidden so deep within my heart I hardly recognize them at all. Perhaps I do, but deter myself from acknowledging them.

    It is kind of hard.
