What God told me during Youth Alpha* yesterday afternoon ...
"Not yet."
His timing has been proven impeccable, so I willingly place my faith in Him. I walk steadfast in the knowledge that He's my Father and will guide me the right way.

To be honest, International Night wasn't in my calendar. However, Hana bought me a ticket and I walked over after Youth Alpha. Learned not to confuse Australian food with New Zealand food. Had 'proper' pasta for the first time in six months in Italy. And get this, beans, cheese, and salsa represented America! Personally though, my Texas trained taste buds didn't consider the salsa 'real' salsa. I also doubt there are vegetarians in South Africa ... We were heading out for coffee when one of the church members started teaching Australian bush dancing. Who could resist after a six month dearth from dancing?! Quite a few of the 6pm attendees joined in.
Several of us went to Red Dot afterwards and I got to know a very cute couple - New Yorkers from Shanghai, in the process of moving to Singapore. Not sure why, but I have this desire to keep them in my prayers. Got a ride home afterwards and went into red light district for the first time in my life. It shocked me to see women lined up on the streets, hawking their bodies to strangers in exchange for money. Prostitution is straight up ugly when you stare at it in the face.
Look down from a broken sky
Traced out by the city lights
My world from a mile high
Best seat in the house tonight
Touch down on the cold black top
Hold on for the sudden stop
Breathe in the familiar shock
Of confusion and chaos
All those people going somewhere
Why have I never cared
Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken-hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me your heart for the ones forgotten
Give me your eyes so I can see
Step out on a busy street
See a girl and our eyes meet
Does her best to smile at me
To hide what's underneath
There's a man just to her right
Black suit and a bright red tie
Too ashamed to tell his wife
He's out of work, he's buying time
All those people going somewhere
Why have I never cared
Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken-hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me your heart for the ones forgotten
Give me your eyes so I can see
I've been here a million times
A couple of million eyes
Just move and pass me by
I swear I never thought that I was wrong
Well, I want a second glance
So give me a second chance
To see the way You've seen the people all along
