從自己僅有的個人經驗及對別人的觀察, 我發覺男人對「分手」的定義可以和女人的想法有很大的分歧。
女人可以今晚提出分手,明天仍緊緊摟住男人,親他的嘴。那句分手,已被她的行為抹掉了。當然,好幾日後,女人心情不佳,會舊事重提。在女人的邏輯中, 男人提出的分手已因他沒離開而宣告無效。女人認為分手等於不再有關懷, 不再可以讓她依偎。只要男人一天留在她身邊, 這句「分手」幾乎不代表什麽。
但是, 對男人來說, 分手是感情的終點, 對她愛的感覺歸零, 但這並不表示不可以繼續跟前女友走在一起。等到某天, 他有了新的對象, 他的生活沒法再容納她, 才會真正離開。
那時, 女人才清楚明白他的信息 – 我們在某年某月某日已經分手。

Bob: I think this has something to do with my cultural background. The comments that I've made about relationships may not be applicable at all in a non-Asian culture. Asians -- the Chinese -- tend to be more conservative in these affairs than Caucasians, so I feel that only by posting my thoughts in Chinese can they be expressed to the fullest and the most accurate extent.

Williams: Hmm, I see... I guess I think to tend to lean towards more 'traditional'/older ways of thinking about relationships, which is not what many/most caucasians feel or think, so good call :P
Though i know many Chinese people (not just thru eng) and see that they have a very westernized way of thinking.
