just started to read Sophie's World. it's very strange but i seem to remember reading this book when i was young, i think it was when i was 12 or so. i have a very vague memory of the book cover and reading it in the hallway of my secondary school but when i see the date it was published it seemed that it was a bit later than my memory. at least the translated version of it seemed to be published later than that. on the other hand i remember bits of it but it's such a dense book about philosophy that i'm only in the first couple chapters and my mind is already going through questions of existentialism and utilitarianism etc. finding it very strange that i have this very vague memory of over a decade ago trying to figure out if i truly exist in this world? of course, i've read so many books over the course of my life that i wonder if i'm confusing this book with another one. like there are remnants of sophie's world which reminds me of another book called leo@gergusrules.com which also questioned one's existence but it was more of one's existences in reality versus in the cyberworld.hmm anyways going to keep reading for half an hour then off to bed i go
