Costly Convictions
when God gives us convictions about certain things in our lives, we need to hang on tight to them and not allow the ridicule of others, or the pressures of the world to cause us to lay them aside. God knows exaclty what each of us needs to be successful in living for him and he wants to see each of us excel and reach depths in Him like we have never known. His word says to come out from among them and be separate. we have to know what is pleasing and displeasing to him and we have to live according to his desires for us.
Costly Convictions
The changes in my life
Were not made by man
But transpired through the grace
Of God’s divine plan
For those things that I
Commit unto Him alone
Will be my dedication
Until the day He calls me home
The convictions He gives
I hold in my heart
And the vanities of the world
Will not cause them to depart
They are jewels and gold
God places on my trail
Nougats of truth and holiness
That will not cause me to derail
They are the precious flowers
I treasure along the way
And since God planted them there for me
Man cannot take them away..

Lovely poem. I'll pray for God to give you wisdom and open doors about homeschooling. As much work as it can be, it is a priviledge and blessing to work so closely with my son and his education.

OK, I loved "When" but I think "Costly Convictions" is my favorite. I better not say that anymore! I like so many of your writings. Actually, it is such a gift God has given you and is using to bless so many others. You're right, God has given us convictions and men cannot take them away!
