the greatest miracle
The Greatest Miracle
© Christy Bahr
The Lord heals blinded eyes
And makes the lame to walk,
Touches the broken hearted
Causes the dumb to talk
He walked upon the water
He even raised the dead
Greater things than these you’ll do
Is what he said
He multiplied the fish and loaves
Turned water into wine
When the people had the faith,
He met their needs just in time.
I dare say there are those
Who don’t believe in miracles today
I’m not convinced of such falsehood
For God is the same always.
In our ranks, we’ve seen the wounded
Walk away completely whole
Vitality restored when doctors believed
Cancer had taken its toll.
We’ve seen God take the brokenhearted
And restore hope again
Those that were wounded in their minds
Had found their heart’s best friend.
We’ve seen deliverance come to those
Who had been bound for years
Depression and sin had left them
In a seemingly endless stream of tears.
I know firsthand of His miracles
For I know how he set me free
I was so bound by bitterness and sadness
Because of the sin inside of me.
Of all his wondrous miracles,
The greatest is my sins washed away
When I asked Him for the truth
And then I chose to obey.
No matter the multitude of your sins
Or whatever your need is right now
God is a prayer answering God
And will work with miraculous power

you know..I believe all healing is God's healing! Blessings on your week!
My devotion today was Psalms 25 - God, don't remember my transgressions. I'm so happy God doesn't keep a record of my sins.
RYC: The Twenties - that is what she was going for! She would be happy you recognized her efforts.
Thank you. :)
The greatest gift God can give each of us is salvation. Without his forgiveness of our sins, we wouldn't even be able to have communication with him. Thank you Jesus.

I'm catching up here and the post from your husband so touched my heart! Those truly are the places we need healing ... those scars and wounds that we can't see outwardly but are felt so deeply! This poem tells us how He came to give us hope, and healing from those hurts! He most assuredly is our "heart's best friend"! This is so beautifully written, Christy! You have a wonderful Tuesday, and thank you for coming by!
Blessings,
~ Deborah <><
Awesome post!
Amen!
Thank You! {V}
Sorry the {V} was meant to be this
I loved this poem and it was very timely. We had one of our daughters at the ER today and all of the symptoms came to nothing!
Nothing is impossible with my God! I am going to start on a new non-chemo pill next week and would appreciate your prayers! Jesus is the HEALER ~ Jehovah Rapha. Thank you for this wonderful expression of the truth of God's will for us! Bless you!!!!
Wonderful poem! It rings so true. I hope and pray that your family is well. Everyone healthy?
Sorry I haven't written sooner.I have a hard enough time writing my posts because my daughter is constantly on and off my lap! Thanks for your recent comments. I'm not sure how to accurately describe the restaurant we to. It models itself after a feast that South American cowboys would throw for their families. There are no menus and the price is already fixed. It is half buffet (the extensive salad bar) and half table side service with the servers coming continously (as long as your green card is up) offering various meats. It is all you can eat and you can turn your card up to green as many times as you want and the servers will come around with their meats. It was all very good and even though the price is about $45 a person they give you a fine dining experience and very, very good food. We don't really have the budget to dine at a place like that but someone had given us a generous gift certificate to that place last Christmas. Also, I had a birthday coupon so my meal was free. We'll go back in August for my husband's birthday and use the rest of the gift card.
Wow! I didn't mean to write so much. Praying for you.
Truly! Truly! All healings come from God (not our words and deeds) and hope in HIM!
