You Set Me Free

No words could ever truly express
The way I feel in gratefulness
For you have set me free
When the winds of doubt
Encompass me about
You speak your peace to me
When the bitterness of life
Tries to lure me into strife
You show me a better way
When the night seems so dark
And I search for a spark
You transform it into day
When questions blanket my mind
It is your peace I find
And I find you are all I need
Your truth has made me free
And You give me the victory
As long as your word I heed
When the mountain stands before me
Seeming insurmountable I see
It is nothing more than a small hill
For each new trial that tests my faith
You give me peace you give me grace
And my soul you fill.
whatever our souls need, whether courage, strength, encouragement God is able to fill us and not only transform us, but can also change the problems we face. Don't let the enemy lie to you and tell you that your problems are insurmountable. that the river has been raging too long and it's too deep and you can't walk on water....etc. when we can't walk on water, that's when He parts the sea.

Another well written poem. It immediately made me think of Luke 11:9. God's "storage" is so much more bigger than this earth and one can have it all by asking etc!!
Thanks. It means a lot to hear that. During my student teaching my confidence was stripped of me in a lot of ways, so it helps me so much to be told that I'm a good teacher. It's like I'm slowly building the wall of my confidence back, brick by brick. After it gets built up, it may be a while before it dries and hardens again, but it will be stronger. Thank you for you encouragement. May God bless you.
@Lilredhead719 - thank you for being open with your experience. it is sad but true that many of the children you teach probably go through the exact same thing of their confidence being stripped away and being told that they are no good and unable to accomplish anything. I believe God will give you the strength to not only lay the bricks for your own wall but for theirs as well. sometimes the things we go through happen so we can help others. these children need the wisdom of your past (and sometimes painful) experiences. you will be one of those teachers that they talk or think about when they are adults because you took the time to tell them that they are capable of achieving their goals and being outstanding people. keep up the good work and don't let anything hold you back.

@gideonrecon - we have been fighting sickness off and on (i guess it's just that time of year) but i have tried to be as faithful to the house of God as possible. i did have to miss today because my 5 year old has some kind of stomach virus (ewww) thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
