Life Begins
© Stephen Worthen
Life begins at 40,
That’s what some may say.
The moment born & breath begins
We live from day to day.
First a babe, then a child,
And on throughout the years.
A word is spoke, a smile is given,
We even shed some tears.
As life goes on the end draws near
Our steps begin to falter
Where e’er you say that it begins
I say life begins at the altar.
though i didn't write that one, i wanted to post it. we continually remind ourselves of our mistakes sometimes when we need only remember the cross. the altar. repentance. sometimes in today's religious world, we leave out and sometimes forget what repentance means. it's more than a confession...read proverbs 28:13. if my sins are hidden, let it be because they are on the altar and covered by the blood. let us forsake our sins.

Nice poem!
Such a lovely poem. Thank you for reminding us.
Have a blessed evening.
The poem is timely considering what we're remembering and celebrating this weekend. May you have a blessed celebration of our Lord's resurrection!

AMEN! Confession is only the first part....repent means to turn and go in the opposite direction from your sin. To walk away from it. That's a part we don't always like to do. Too many times, we actually like our sin.
Not just covered our sins are blotted out and destroyed forever. Thank you, Christy!
LORD FATHER, I call on the blood of JESUS CHRIST that from now own and forever we walk circumspectfully like you, giving the word like you, healing and praying like you and most of all loving each other like you. To please you and be pleasing in your sight. In the name of JESUS CHRIST! Amen!
nice poem - and so very true....my life began when i gave it back to Jesus... <<>>
Have a great weekend, Christy and family.
Love,
Della
