"If I could save time in a bottle...."
"Okay, which one of you striped kitties is the little stinker?"
You know the disclaimer. Friends send me these shots.
I worked yesterday. I am working today. Life is like that. Feast or famine.
We are 'working' at getting things organized so that the trip to the beach is not full of so much stress. Lots to do. Our beach house even requires that we bring linens and towels....which is okay with me, but requires time to get together.
I will catch up with lots of you over the weekend...."Never fear, Wonderwoman is here, and there, and everywhere."
"Maybe if I close my eyes, it will not be there when I open them...."
Who am I kidding. Work awaits.

"Be vewy, vewy, quiet. They are looking for a wabbit...or me."
disclaimer...U No it.
"If I hide here, they won't think I am the wabbit that is missing... Don't make a single move..."
Today was not a school working day. It is one of the Testing days for the state. It has been a less than busy, but not lazy day. Some housework, some pet work, some errands, a needed nap, some record keeping, just this and that. It has kept me busy.
Tonight I am watching a program about the Grand Canyon. Ian will be 9 this year. Next year is his year to take a trip anywhere in the continental USA. I want to give him some options besides Disney World. At 10 years old, they are old enough to remember it as a good time, but not too old to not want to travel with their gramdma. I will get one year off, then have two trips back to back. I got this idea from my brother and his wife. They did that with their 5 grandchildren. I think I remember their trips were: Washington, DC (twice), Los Angeles, Yellowstone National Park, and Florida.
I am trying to stay out of trouble so that I will be in good shape to make the trip for the wedding and feel like having a good time. The wedding is 11 days away. The trip down is 9 days away.
I wish I could go camping....I need to sit around a camp fire and roast things.....hot dogs, marshmallows, small game, grasshoppers, other crackly things. Just kidding, well, maybe not for everything.
Edy found that she is a watch dog today. She chased birds out of the yard. When I checked one time, she had 3 different kinds of birds sitting on the fence; afraid to fly over the yard. I think they were teasing her. She can really run fast when they come into the yard. She half flies across the distance. Very much fun to watch.
Even a hunter has to rest sometimes.

It is Windy and not even Wednesday...figure it out.
Disclaimer: a friend sent this photo of the cat to me.
"I am just so sleepy....and I am hating having to get up out of this comfy bed."
Following is an original poem...by Cyn
Thunder!
Shouting indignant curses across the sky,
Riding bolts of lightning to the ground,
Oiling the night with thick buckets filled with rain.
THUNDER!
Slamming doors and dragging furniture
Across the jagged edges of the sky
Riding Lightning bolts across the alleyways,
Between condominium clouds,
THUNDER!! Thunder!!
Pouring Rain down the toilet bowl of the heavens,
Spitting obscenities at the tops of Mountains,
Lashing valleys with buckets of water,
Forcing rivers of rain across the roads of rivulets
Swimming along Earth’s face.
Thunder!!
Whimpering as he crawls out of town.

You can make it a simple list, your own poem, pictures, song or fairy tale, mystery, fun, serious; it's up to you... it's your blog! ~ feel free to use pictures, songs...you choose, we enjoy!
Mists of Time
Somewhere in the mists of time, I lost you.
I dropped your hand, and you were gone.
I am so forlorn without your power and strength.
You were so tired.
As soon as I turned loose,
I knew I would never find your hand--or you again.
I miss you.
A wisp in the wind,
A droplet of dew,
A memory in the mist,
You are gone.
