  • Still trying to figure out how to get the photos from the photoplace onto my site here.  This is too complicated for me to figure out tonight.  Maybe tomorrow.  ha.

Busy week.  Much ado about nothing.  This was the prefourth hotdog/hamburger supper menu.

The beachcombers will return tomorrow night.  I got a phone call last night.  Ian was on automatic...telling me about snakes, alligators, other "nocturnal animals"  He said he had been gathering shells and starfish for me.  They are so much fun!

I had to email this photo of Isabella to myself and then transfer it to my album?  Let me try this photo thing again.  I must be missing a step or something.  The photos are on the Kodak site, but they don't seem to want to transfer over to another place.  Maybe I can figure it out....by next summer.

We went to Pisgah Forest for our July 5th picnic. Where's Cyn?  Snapping the photo, of course.

OOPS!  Cyn would have really been on her head if she had been really drinking something powerful.  (I gotta practice this photo stuff more.) These are not from the digital camera...Just a regular 35 mm.

I know, it is my weird sense of humor, but I thought this turning back sideways was funny, so I left it here.  Roz is acting shocked, but nothing I say or do shocks her or my other friends....it's just Cyn being Cyn.

  • Actually basementdweller already tracked down an internet connection at the local library for us.  last year I tried to install the telephone but failed miserably in the attempt.  This year I just gave in to being untech on our vacay.  Thanks for the sentiment though!
  • Oh an idea since you mentioned photos.  If you have Windows XP, try opening a file folder with your photos setting "view" to thumbnail, then "right clicking" on the photo.  You should see a "rotate" option so you get it the direction you want it to go.

If you like the right click idea-- go to photoplace, right click on your photo and you shoiuld see an option there to "save" it to your computer. If you pay close attention to what file it is put it, you can then uplaod it from your computer on to xanga.

The other thing you can do, if Premium is only temporary.  right click on the photos there, cselect "properties" and it should give you a web address for the photo.  Highlight it, and copy the address by pressing your Ctrl key and the C key.  Then in Xanga, choose thge "link" option for photos and press the Ctrl key and V (to paste) it in to the Address or URL box.

    Hope this made some sense.

  • Isabella is beautiful and she looks like an Isabella too. I love that name because my favorite book is "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."  I know I was supposed to underline that, but I can't figure out how.  Christy

  • I wonder if you can take a cutting of your dad's rose and get some kind of propogation starter from the local nursery? I know people do it with roses all the time. Go to a store specializing in plants and tell them what you want to do and they can probably give you the right product and tell you how to make it happen. Just a thought....
  • Also check on the internet for Propagation of Roses and all kinds of sites pop up with information on how to start a new bush from a cutting. The Rooting agent was Hormodin II, that was suggested on one site. It adds extra hormones to help the stem grow roots. Anyway, there seems to be a lot of info on how to do it if you decide to try it.
