This is part of the power point subject my students are working on this week. They are having fun, learning, and using technology. A triple treat.
I talked to one of my aunts tonight for a few minutes. It seemed like it pleased her that I called.
I have been invited to one of the kid's birthday party. He came from Russia on Aug. 30, 2004. He knew little English and had no legs from an accident when he was younger. He had been reared in an orphanage. He is an inspiration to many, me included. He has grasped English extremely well (BTW, English is rather hard to learn) he races around on his little personal four wheeled , skateboard-high platform, smiles widely and tries hard. I will miss him when he leaves for 7th grade. He turned 16 this week. He has been placed in this grade to help him catch up...it worked well. He will be promoted a double grade in a year or two. He loves to tease and laugh, and always wants to give me a box of candy on any occasion. Gotta love a guy who sends candy!
Good night....I am out of here for tonight. I am not getting enough rest.

I hope you make it to the party. He sounds like a wonderful guy.
yeah, the candy is always a plus
I am very tired too. I hope you have a spiff Friday!!
That could be one of that boy's purposes in this life--to make folks appreciate life more. I don't know if I could be so strong.
That's an amazingly short time to have mastered English I think! Wow! And, you are right, it is not an easy language to learn. Hope you are having a good weekend. *hugs*
