  • What a great pool party for the kids' birthdays.  We all had fun.  It was warm enough to swim, but not too warm to be ready to expire in the heat.

Going to Atlanta early tomorrow to drive a friend to the airport.  She is our Spanish teacher and going home to visit her mom in Spain.  Some guy wanted to charge her $260 for the drive.  I told her I'd take her for nothing.  She insists on paying for the gas and that is okay.  Of course, the way gas prices are now, that may not be too outrageous.  It is just about 150 miles, so how could I refuse?

My sister will meet us near the city and go with us to the airport.  BF is riding with me.  I will enjoy the company on the way back.

I will try to visit around.

Here is a poem to peruse.

    PEER COUNSELING

I understand Maya Angelou, though I have never met her face to face.
I know her thoughts from the inside, deep in a special place.

I am head to heart with Bob Dylan,
His words live inside my soul, but in a different realm,
    In phrases he wouldn't know.

Sometimes my brain and mind cannot contain,
The words and thoughts I feel and hear.
    Mind-melds with other spirits
Bring into my personal space, a meeting of my peers.©

Have a great "rest of the weekend, my peers."
