"Why did they only give me part of this big red thing. What do I do? I guess I will see if I can put it in my mouth...."
Isabella was accepted into the Spanish immersion program at her brothers' school. They all seem to be happy about that. Her letter was copied verbatim by the interviewer. It is very good. In it she says she wants to speak another language, her brothers are in the French immersion program, but she wants to learn to speak Spanish because her best friend can speak Spanish and she wants to talk to her in Spanish. She also said she wanted to learn to speak more than Spanish because her dad speaks 5 languages and she wants to speak as many languages as he does.
Her Dad can't actually speak more than 3 languages. He speaks basic Frenchphrases and terms, but he is learning with the boys. He speaks Spanish okay, mostly phrases and common things people will normally say in the work or school place. He has a smattering of Italian, Reads Latin rather well, and speaks some Russian. I think that is a gift.
I was only going to be working half a day today because I had a doctor's appt. early in the afternoon. Then I had a lightheaded incident this morning early. My BP was okay by the time the nurse checked it. Anyway, the secretary came on the intercom in my room and said my sub was running a bit late, but she was coming on. About 40 minutes later she appeared (she is a regular) and asked if I had only put in for half a day. I really needed to come home, so I asked her to stay. She did. I needed to rest cause I was tired and shakey. I am okay. The doctor said I was okay and had a tad of asthma. I go back in 6 weeks. They did blood work. Of course. I thought that maybe my BP medicine had dropped my BP low suddenly or my ear had messed head up. He agreed with me that it was possible.
We decided not to worry about it unless it happens again. He also wants me to get much rest this weekend. So I called Will and told him no kids this weekend. I called Jon and told him no granddogs either. I am going to try to get more bedrest.
I did clear out my refrigerator. Something in there had died. I don't know what, but I cleared it out of most things and cleaned the shelves. It smells better. I was afraid the drain had blocked. That happened to my fridgeonce, yuck.
It seemed to be okay later today, so I guess something was bad.
I need to get some groceries. They won't get off the shelves, jump in the cart, check themselves out and get into my house alone. The store likes for me to pay for them before I go out the door. Wonder why?
I may put some of the poetry on again soon. I just gotta decide it.
"You gotta stop and smell the roses, no matter what they are called."
