The youngest, Lee and Angie, one of the girl cousins, are the only ones in this picture not celebrating a birthday. Mimi is the grandmother of almost all these kids. Angie is her niece. She is sitting nearest MiMi.
Now we can open the presents and let the big boys play with the best toys.....they did.
My sons played with one of the toy sets for a long time. I hope I have a picture of that in my shots.
These are Vanessa's shots. Remember she is Lee and Leila's Mom.
I took a long, long, long, long nap today. I think I needed it. I also got some things done that needed doing. You know, some housework. Actually, I got most of the yard sales items put away, and some record keeping done.
Try this old poem on for size. I am thinking about writing some more things. It has been awhile since I have done much serious writing.
My Legacy
Where the river runs clear--crystal and deep,
We'll meet again.
Where the sun shines--gentle and warm,
We'll cross paths again.
Where the trees grow old--tall and true,
We'll be face to face again.
I can see your smile--open and free.
We'll touch hands once more,
And we will know the truth.
Through the ages, time discounted--
Generations, past and future,
Discarded and meshed lives,
We'll meet by chance and touch hands as strangers,
And know we have met before.
From now until time is no more--
We will always know each other,
My child.
MY shirt!

You are very talented.
I wish we were having some of your hot and sunny weather our summer here has been the bomb!
Beautiful kids and great photos. I am going up to the childrens parade at 10 am and take photos and then come home and take a nap. Then we will ride the shuttle back to tour the school after 3:30. If it rains we will stay home and relax.
