Today went better than I ever could have expected!  Summer seemed to fly by so I wasn't really ready for the school year to start, but after today, I'm all pumped up!  My new students seem awesome and receptive.  There are a few behavioral problems that I can see already, but they all seem really excited to be in my class and to be back at school.  Last year, my students were all dreading coming back to school =P

One other highlight of my day though was seeing all of my students from last year.  It was SO GOOD to see them.  It's cute because they get really nervous at first because it's been "a WHOLE 3 months" since they've talked to me so they don't really know what to say..haha..but after a while..they start being themselves again.  They're all bummed that I didn't decide to teach 6th grade this year (so that I'd have them in my class again) ...so cute!

Time for the CHU wedding! *woop woop*!!

So in case you didn't know, we went to Alaska with my side of the family last week!  It was awesome.  Vincent & I are both really sad to be back.  The cruise was fun and relaaaaaxing!  We went on a cruise with NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line) and the ship we were on was only 2 years old, so it was really nice! The food was good some nights and not so good some nights but the luxury of being able to eat WHENEVER you want was amazing! The weather in Alaska was far from ideal, so we didn't get to do some of the excursions that we wanted to do, but the ones we did end up going on were nice because we got to learn a lot about Alaska and see all that the towns had to offer :) All in all though, I didn't mind the rainy weather...it was a nice break away from the heat of socal.  Anywho...we took a ton of pictures, so hopefully I'll be posting pictures sometime in the near future (either on xanga or on facebook).

Twitch from So You Think You Can Dance was in the movie, "Hairspray"!  Vincent & I were watching it tonight and we saw him :) We're probably slow in finding that out...but it was still exciting!

I also burned my forehead with my curling iron today :( No fun...I hope it doesn't leave a permanent scar...
