My Grandma and Grandpa were both in the hospital this weekend. My Grandma was admitted on Thursday for pnemonia and my Grandpa was admitted Saturday for severe back and stomach pain.
He was basically exhausted. My aunts and uncles help so much but he is always there for Grandma.
Grandma Forshee has polycystic of the kidney and liver disease. Here kidney's do not function anymore because they are covered with cysts so she has been going to dialysis for the past four years, three times a week. My sweet Grandpa Forshee gets me Grandma to the treatment center early every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He has been taking care of her selflessly and he is almost ninety years old. There have been many complications and my Uncle Don many times will help by driving my Grandma to her treatments, but Grandpa Forshee still gets up, gets in the back seat of the car and goes with my Grandma to her treatments- every time.
These two wonderful people are devoted to each other and have been an incredible example of true love and constant devotion for their children and grandchildren. I have so many wonderful memories with them. We have had sooo many great times at their house.
Well, Grandpa and Grandma were both having tests done and happened to be done at the same time. By chance, they met up in the hallway and were able to talk and hold hands for a few moments. My Aunt Judy thankfully thought to use her cell phone camera and take this sweet picture. It is something we will always treasure because it is a symbol of true love better than any fairy tale.
My Grandpa is home now and the doctor has ordered home health care to come in every day and help. My Grandma has been moved to a nursing home so that she can be constantly watched and get help getting her strength back. They wanted so badly to both be at home together but it just isn't
working anymore. Hopefully, this will help them both so much and they will understand how necessary it is. I love them both sooo much!

Oh, I'm so sorry she can't be home anymore. That has to be very disappointing. That picture is so sweet. It totally made me cry. What a lovely post!!!
That is the sweetest picture ever! So sorry that she wasn't able to come home with your grandpa. What love and devotion. Thanks for sharing.
This picture brought me to tears. It made me think of the couple in "The Notebook". It is evident that there is a lot of love between them.
That is the cutest picture I have ever seen! I love seeing older people still so much in love.
