Happy Birthday Text
Yesterday was my ex-'s birthday. I sent him a text message today saying Happy Birthday on my way to work this morning. He called me back to thank me. We didn't have a conversation other than "hi...thanks...how are you...bye." I'm glad things are calming down between us...but I would still rather not talk to him.
I thought it would be considerate to wish him a happy birthday, though. After all, we were best friends for the past 3 years. Yet, I was 20-minutes into my drive-to-work before I decided that it would be okay to send him the text message.
Is texting my ex-fiance really that big of a deal? Should I not have done it? It's funny how such a small act turns into a much larger issue - one requiring lots of thought - when it involves my ex.

I probably wouldn't have done it, but that is just me.
That was nice of you. I don't know that I would have been able to be nice enough to do that after all you've been through with him.
