| | a strange dream
It was dreamed during a rare nap...in the middle of the day.
Somehow, my upper jaw and palate broke into three pieces. Parts
of my jawbone and rows of teeth kept falling out of place, and I would
keep shoving them back up where they belong...hoping if I didn't move,
they would grow back together and eventually heal. There was no
pain in the dream.
The only other person in the dream was my mother, who was unconcerned
about the whole thing. I kept asking her if I should go to the
ER, or at least to a dentist. She didn't think it was necessary.
The dream ended with me planning what I could slurp down while my skull
healed...milkshakes with eggs, milkshakes with protein powder and
crushed multivitamins....
I woke up, and stayed in half-asleep mode for a few minutes..still
holding my head very still...still believing that I had a broken
palate and jawbone.
When I realized that it had been a dream...by running my tongue
over the intact roof of my mouth (without rows of teeth falling
out) I was so relieved..
I have often had dreams where all of my teeth fall out...I just keep spitting out mouthfuls and can't stop it.
I had braces for 5 years, and years of other orthodontia as a kid and teenager.
What does it mean? Does anybody interpret dreams?
Tonight is open gymnastics..where you can come and just
play on the equipment. We haven't been able to go in a long
while. Ds is ready to go, but dd fell asleep in the car on the
way home at dinnertime today, and still sleeps on the couch after a
grouchy wake-up of yelling and screaming. She wasn't ready to
wake up yet. Now...do I wake her up to go to gymnastics?
She really wanted to go. Or do I let her sleep, and stay behind
with her when ds and dh go, and then snuggle up with a cup of tea and my
latest library check out video series: THe Tibetan Book of the
Dead? (sound cozy??) She could wake up at 8pm and be ready
to stay up half the night. Ugh!
Such a dilemma... |
