Thanks to all participants and visitors of the June
blog-a-long! It's amazing...with as many people who participated,
there wasn't a repeat of even one idiom! Everyone thought of
different phrases, and the photos were just fantastic! Way to go,
Everyone!
Thanks to Uncskainch for thinking up that photo challenge! It was
a lot of fun! If you still want to see the photos, click here for
the links to the participants. You may have to scroll back a few
posts.
And thank you all so much for the birthday wishes!
As for today...I'm hot.
Tired. A bit dehydrated. My eyes are tired from squinting
in the sun. So here's a cool, wet photo from a birthday party
(not mine) that we attended on Sunday...

Watch out! Here she comes down that slip-n-slide!
And here's a cool, dark sunset shot of ds catching the frisbee at the evening concert in the park last Thursday:
And the sunset was gorgeous that night!

Zhena's Gypsy Tea, organic Grand Green
(a birthday gift) I can't wait to try it!
My ds gave me this book for my birthday. It may sound a bit corny (and I am definitely the corny type) but Fred Rogers is one of my heroes.
Here's a quote from the book:
In the
external scheme of things, shining moments are as brief as the
twinkling of an eye, yet such twinklings are what eternity is made of-
moments when we human beings can say, "I love you", "I'm proud of you",
"I forgive you", "I'm grateful to you". That's what eternity is
made of: invisible, imperishable good stuff.
