Ok...got a treat for you Lewis and Clark lovers. Went to the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix this past weekend on a tip from a friend. The big draw for us? A large-format movie (like an IMAX) on Lewis and Clark's expedition, called, Lewis and Clark: Great Journey West

It was captivating! It runs about 45 minutes, and the scenes are breathtaking, as well as the story itself. Ds (age 7) loved it. We have a Lewis and Clark book at home, so he was already familiar with the history of it. He loves explorer stories and American history and stories of the great frontier, so this movie was up his alley.

CLick the link above to see if it is at a theater near you.

THis was my kids' first ever movie in a theater. Can you imagine never seeing a movie (at the theater in the mall) before, and then going to see a IMAX movie where the sound is larger than life, and the screen is 5 stories tall? The kids took it in stride, though. No throwing up at the motion, no crying at the intense sound. No falling out of the seat from dizzyness. But hey, they're kids. They're made of rubber.
