Counting my blessings......

Everyone.
I thank everyone for being here.  The dear ones I love, and the ones I yet do not know.  The ones I will never know personally.  The people who give me inspiration, the people who drive me crazy, the people who shake me up.  The ones I don't understand.  You all shape me, I learn from all of you.  I learn about myself through your thoughts and actions.   You give me what I need exactly when I need it.

My people.
The dear, dear souls that I share intimate contact with.  My husband.  My children. My dearest of dear friends.  The friends and family who share their comon ground, and their unique selves.  Thank you for your love!  Thanks for understanding, opening my eyes, befuzzling me, and making me laugh.  Thanks for wiring me into your lives, in the great network, through the many ways we met.

Coffee and the sunrise.
Let's get off the altruistic bandwagon for a minute.  I just love my morning coffee, with real cream (though I most often use regular milk) and real maple syrup (really, it's good!) and the sunrise.  It's a ritual I look forward to every night before going to bed, and is what gets me out in the cold, dark mornings.

Opportunities and challenges
I am thankful for the opportunities that present themselves to me, especially in the present time.  Like the butterfly, they can help me morph into myself in ways that I can't imagine beforehand.

I also count the blessing of opportunity to live in a place in the world where my personal choices are many.  I am blessed with the opportunity of my children  learning at home in ways that fit their timetables and learning styles,  We are fortunate to learn how they learn and provide them with what they need, and present them with unique opportunities as well.  We're all little butterflies around here...

photo: a recent tie dye: A heart was stitched into the shirt with needle and thread, then thread was pulled tight,  scrunching the heart pattern in the shirt.  It was then dyed, and the pattern then painted in with blue dye.

Love!!!!!
Yay for love!!!  For the earthly and divine love.

Health
I've been paying better attention to it lately, and I believe it is paying off...

Yay for compassion and forgiveness!

Things I've been called to do, also creativity, artsy stuff
Gifts from Spirit, they are.

The Great Outdoors
Where I am most inspired and centered and regain my perspective best.  It's where the excitement of creativity bubbles forth out of me effortlessly.

The Divine, in all ways people see it
That which makes everything possible.....  God as seen in all traditions or individual belief.... available to each and every one of us.  (the way I see it, that is)

All of you in Xanga Blogland!
You all are great!!!  I highly value your companionship here in cyberspace!  Your ideas and talents inspire me in my own real life, as do your words.  You are a funny, imaginative, supportive, loving bunch of people!!!   Thank you for looking at my photos and offering the kindest of compliments and encouragement.  Thank you for not calling me all-out weird when I try out new ideas or techniques or hobbies out on you!  Thanks for making up a great forum for becoming more myself as I get there.

Soooo...pull up a chair, and let's have a berry chocolate chip, creamed shortcake!  Pass the coffee, or the tea, or the wine all around.  Here's a toast to you!  Cheers!!!

And have a very Blessed Thanksgiving!!!!

I think I tend to be one of those who kind of shakes you up. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving. I want to do something for the blog a long, but the only thing I can think of is my children, home and stuff. I wanted it to be original, I guess. Will post sometime in the next few days! Very busy!!

Great photo!

ryc: No, I didn't use a tripod. I just used my old FujiPix and clicked away. Quite a few didn't turn out. The camera is pretty slow, especially under low light conditions. Often I'd completely miss the best part of the firework. The one I did get a picture of was great because it just kept going on and on, so I got a few good shots. And I don't know what it is about BC, but we seem to really get into the fireworks at Halloween. I think it's the only time we can buy them legally.

As always, beautiful photos.  Beautiful sentiments to go with.  I love that photo of the pink rose.  You truly have a calling.  I enjoy real maple syrup in my morning coffee as well.  It is often what propels me out of bed in the morning.  Especially on the nights when the little one didn't sleep well and I think I could use at least 4 more hours.  :)  I think I am going to try to duplicate that hands photo with our family.  It speaks volumes and would be a nice break from our cheesy grins.

These are SO SO gorgeous. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to join in. I had the best of intentions, but a nasty cold sidelined me for much of the week. Maybe I'll get some pics up later this week?
